Our research program focuses on developing and testing non-medication based psychotherapies in veterans and active duty military personnel with sleep problems. The treatments we are developing are present-focused with minimal discussion of traumatic past events. They are also designed to help individuals with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and depression learn to improve their sleep and change current unhelpful patterns in their lives. Our programs are conducted both at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) and the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
Please see our "Research" section to learn more about why we are focusing on sleep in military populations.
